Kyle Taura

Kyle currently serves as a Partner at Garden City Companies. He is primarily responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities, structuring & closing transactions, monitoring & growing portfolio companies, and internal financial management & reporting.

Prior to joining Garden City, Kyle spent 7 years in lower middle market private equity, most recently at Kian Capital and previously at Summit Park. Kyle has been involved with over 15 lower middle market companies (ranging from $2-20 million EBITDA) across various industries (primarily services, distribution, and manufacturing). Kyle has served as an active board member for many of these investments, partnering with founders and management teams to make add-on acquisitions, create and track key metrics, recruit executives to replace retiring founders, expand facilities, and enter new territories. Before private equity, Kyle worked at Bank of America in the Sports Finance & Advisory Group, where he was responsible for providing investment banking and corporate credit solutions (specifically leveraged debt transactions) to clients in the sports and entertainment industry.

Kyle holds a B.S in Finance and an M.S. in Accountancy from Wake Forest University. He lives in Charlotte, NC, with his wife and two children, and is a member at Hope Community Church.
