Michael is a co-founder of Steelhead Partners, LLC, a leading investment management firm that he established in 1996.

Prior to co-founding Steelhead Partners, he served as senior vice president and senior portfolio manager at Loews Corporation, where he co-managed over $5 billion in corporate bonds and managed an equity portfolio.

Before joining Loews Corporation, Michael worked as a high yield and investment grade credit analyst at Prudential Insurance. He was later promoted to co-portfolio manager of an $11 billion fixed income portfolio.

Michael holds an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Business at Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts in finance from Texas Christian University, where he graduated with honors.
